It’s October and you know what that means… we’re being inundated with pink merchandise!
I was on the lookout for pink ribbon tattoos while at the Seattle 3-Day and wasn’t disappointed – 14 that I hadn’t seen before, two that had been updated, and one of my favorites from last year.
I don’t think you could find a more compassionate, fun and zany group than the Route Safety crew. Not only did I get to ride my bike every day, but I got to meet and hang out with people who were committed to supporting a great cause.
My first 3-Day experience ended up being something completely different from what I had expected – I decided I would definitely participate in the 2010 Seattle 3-Day, but as a crew member, not a walker.
Tracy was 33 when she received her first breast cancer diagnosis, and recently wrapped up treatment on her second bout. She started walking in the 3-Day years before she became a breast cancer survivor, and is walking with 26 of her friends in the Seattle event at the end of September.
