LisaPassionate about community, women’s health and technology & how they complement each other

My Pink Ink began as a place to share the impacts that breast cancer has had on the lives of so many, and to highlight some of the fantastic (and unique) things people are doing to fight this horrible disease. For a bit more of my story, you can read about the impact breast cancer has had on my family in my first post.

On a professional note, I began my technology career in 1994, dipping my toes into Internet application development before focusing on program management and team leadership in that space. Nothing makes me happier professionally than identifying challenges, finding the right balance of people, process and technology, and wrapping them up in solutions that stay true to an organization’s culture.

To fuel my passion for community and women’s health issues, I serve on the Cancer Lifeline Board of Directors, the Advisory Board for the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and the Alumni Leadership Committee of Leadership Tomorrow Seattle. I’m also a member of Seattle’s CityClub and the King County Municipal League, and like to hang out with the great people involved in Social Media Club Seattle.

I recently launched a new breast cancer support program site for women in Washington State, I’d love your feedback!

Lisa, I love how we’re all in this together. It was great to connect with you at the crew event and I look forward to seeing you at The 3-Day in Seattle! This year I’ll be doing my 7th, 8th, and 9th events. Did you get to check out the Little Smokie Guys on the walk last year? That was my husband, Jim, and he’ll be out there this year doing the same thing with the help of lots of friends. Love your blog!
